SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Host Rob Keck has two distinctive guests for this week’s Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World Radio show. With early archery elk seasons opening in many parts of the West in a few weeks, Rob’s guests will discuss elk restoration and the wise conservation management of this prized species. Elk restoration is one of the great conservation achievements, funded largely by hunters and supported by and through the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF).
Rob’s first guest is Kyle Weaver, CEO of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation who is an avid hunter as well as passionate conservationist. Keck’s second guest is Daniel McDonald. He’s a Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service working at Wichita Mountains Refuge in southwestern Oklahoma. McDonald will discuss news of the great success with elk restoration in Oklahoma.
Tune in to catch these exclusive interviews Saturday, August 18, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET on RURAL RADIO, found exclusively on RURAL RADIO SiriusXM Channel 147.
Each week, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World draws upon outdoor experts from across the country, including those within the Bass Pro Shops family. Rob Keck, Bass Pro Shops’ director of conservation, and his guests provide listeners with the latest information about hunting, fishing and wildlife conservation.
