Rogers, Minn. – Two Minnesota companies have joined forces in the tackle industry— Clam Outdoors recently acquired All-Terrain Tackle.
Based in Rogers, Minnesota, Clam Outdoors has continued to grow it’s line of ice tackle, Clam Pro Tackle, since its launch to market in 2010. More recently, Clam has been focusing on a transition to the open water market, including ice tackle that has open water use, making the partnership with All-Terrain a strategic part of that growth.
All-Terrain Tackle, located in Prior Lake, Minnesota, has rapidly grown its line of bass jigs, gaining huge market exposure through its grass roots marketing and Bass Angling Pros that have garnered hundreds of thousands of dollars in tournament winnings due to All-Terrain tackle.
“I started this brand 17 years ago because I wanted to create the best bass jig on the market, a unique bait that catches fish in any situation,” notes All-Terrain Founder Steve Hauge. “With such a strong, loyal following, I wanted to keep that momentum going and continue to grow, so it made sense to partner with another tackle company that has that same reputation for integrity and quality products. Clam was that company.”
The merger of All-Terrain and Clam is now official, but there will be no major changes in the short term.
“We’re incredibly excited to have another high-quality brand join the Clam family of brands,” says Clam President Steve Geertsen. “Steve has done an amazing job with this line, and combined with our RD team, marketing initiatives and All Terrain Pros we see great things on the horizon for All-Terrain customers.”
All-Terrain Tackle is a line of bass fishing jigs that have a trademark Terrain Tread® or “bumps” on the jig head that allows them to grip cover, as well the Pro TieTM hand tied silicone jig skirts, that has made them a go-to bait for many tournament and casual bass anglers alike. Made in the USA, these jigs also have a unique feature— a TrailrLoc System that keeps plastics and baits from sliding down the hook.
“I love that Clam Outdoors was the company to purchase All-Terrain Tackle,” notes FLW Pro Angler Jim Moynagh. “Both companies have a history of listening to the fishermen, and providing the premium quality that is demanded.”
Clam Outdoors has established itself as a leader in the ice fishing industry, offering products in every category of ice angling. And in recent years, it has grown to become an all-seasons company with brands that include pop-up QuickSet screen Shelters, Polar Utility Trailers and Carts, and Blackfish Gear apparel.
