Benelli S.p.A. To Present Set of Five Premium Shotguns At Beretta Gallery Events

Manhattan, New York - Benelli Armi S.p.A. is pleased to present to the public the Benelli Magnifico Set of Five shotguns at two upcoming events hosted at the Beretta Galleries locations in Dallas (February 10th) and New York (March 3rd). The set will be presented during these two exclusive events by J. Alain Smith, esteemed hunter and outdoorsman, and displayed in each location for one week.

“When the finest craftsmanship meets inner artistic creativity, true masterpieces are created,” Anastasia Romano, Marketing and Communications Department of Benelli Armi S.p.A., said. “Considered among the most beautiful and unique sets of shotguns ever made, the Benelli Magnifico Set of Five is the first and only set of fine semi-automatic shotguns directly born from the art and culture of the Italian Renaissance. Superb curves of wood, amazing mastery of engravings, and one-of-a-kind style are all expressions of the highest quality products made in Italy.”

The Benelli Magnifico Set of Five features a stock made with the finest walnut that has been worked by hand and applied with an oil finish. The recoil pad is made of buffalo horn. The receiver is carved by hand in stainless steel with an Inertia system, using the most prestigious model in the Benelli range - the Executive - as a base.

The steel mechanics, which originated in Benelli, have been modified and finished by hand to guarantee perfect couplings. The Benelli Inertia system is the world’s best expression of the semi-automatic shotgun and ensures absolute excellence.

The engravings are entirely marked and created by hand, and each gauge (12, 20, and 28) has its own dedicated subject. A yellow gold sky is a characteristic feature of the set’s figurative poetics, enhancing the scenes portrayed by adding a precious, unique style. Every shotgun is decorated with hunting scenes, each one beautifully framed by a motif of oak leaves and acorns.

The decoration uses embossed rose gold settings for the acorns and together with the golden sky to provide a unifying structure to the engravings in the set. The decorative iconography is inspired by the theme of the Downy Oak used on the field table of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, the Renaissance lord of Urbino, who embodied the figure of the great condottiero together with that of the enlightened man of culture.

The set of shotguns is paired with a custom carrying case made of fine leather that covers a wooden frame, and the finished result comes with accessories in brass and brass-plated steel. The design is original, conceived to be compact and save space, and contains all five pieces in the set while being easy to carry. The case itself has been designed for use in the field and has foldaway legs to keep it in a raised position,

away from the ground.

The Benelli Magnifico Set of Five was first revealed at the recent 2022 Safari Club International Convention in Las Vegas, NV. It was well received by the collectors of fine art and firearms invited to view it ahead of its American public tour at the Beretta Galleries. The American tour reaches its next stop on February 10th at the Beretta Gallery location in Dallas, TX. The set will be on display from February 10-17 before moving to the New York location on March 3rd (on display from March 3-10).

After the upcoming presentations, this luxurious set of shotguns will return to Europe and be sold to a private customer. Upon completing this sale, Benelli Armi S.p.A. will donate USD 200,000 to the SCI Foundation in support of the organization’s wildlife conservation and humanitarian service efforts.
