Columbia, MO – Thousands of youth shooting teams are in need of funding to pay for practice rounds, enter competitions, travel to shoots, and more. The MidwayUSA Foundation helps communities fund these youth shooting teams and assist with these expenses. On Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, the MidwayUSA Foundation has a goal to raise $150,000 for youth shooting sports. For this single day, the MidwayUSA Foundation will also have $150,000 to match contributions. These matching dollars are possible because of the generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield.
Every shooting team and organization has its own earmarked endowment that can receive donations right through the MidwayUSA Foundation website. Donors can give to the endowment of their choice at MidwayUSAFoundation.org/donate. The Foundation keeps nothing for operations, unlike many charities. Therefore, 100% of the contribution and the match will support the chosen team or organization. Donating through the Foundation website is safe and secure, and donors always receive a tax-deductible receipt.
To better assist teams and organizations in asking for donations on Giving Tuesday, the MidwayUSA Foundation has created a downloadable Giving Tuesday Toolkit. Youth shooting organizations can customize Items in the toolkit and use them to speak directly to their community. Items in the toolkit include photos for social media, logos, email examples, and much more.
Over 2,700 youth shooting teams of all disciplines have funded Team Endowments with the MidwayUSA Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Every donation made is 100% tax-deductible and supports the mission to help communities and organizations raise funds to support their youth shooting team. The Foundation supports all shooting disciplines.
