FOUR USA ARCHERS IN THE RUNNING FOR
INDIVIDUAL PODIUM FINISHES AT
2022 WORLD ARCHERY 3D CHAMPIONSHIPS
TERNI, Italy – It was a long wet day for the pool matches in Stroncone, Italy. Despite multiple rain delays, 4 of the 17 qualifying archers from the USA will be heading into the semifinal rounds this Saturday. Each individual will have one more match to see who will be shooting for gold or bronze medals.
Shiloh Butts and Fawn Girard punched their tickets to the semifinals Tuesday with top qualifying scores and did not have to shoot in the pool matches today.
In the traditional men's division Kenneth Rienas, who qualified 10th, shot his way through 3 matches today. First was against San Marino (54-52), then Sweden (53 -39), and the third against Austria (55-51), solidifying his spot in the semifinals!
On the barebow men's side Daniel Colloms, ranked 4th, won 2 matches against Hungary (54-47), and then Slovenia (60-52) to send himself into the semifinal round as well!
The Individual semifinal rounds and medal matches will take place at Carsulae – Archeological Park on Saturday.
