Big Daddy Unlimited will vigorously defend 2A rights

Gainesville, FL –- In the ongoing legal dispute between Rare Breed and Wide Open Enterprises, LLC around U.S. Patent No. 10,514,223 (“the ’223 patent”), a federal court judge has ordered a temporary cease and desist prohibiting all sales of the Wide Open Trigger (“WOT”).

As a primary distribution channel for WOT, Big Daddy Unlimited announced it will fully comply and will voluntarily and temporarily discontinue its sales of the WOT and will immediately notify the company’s resellers of the cease and desist. Big Daddy Unlimited has every intention to fight this decision.

"We are passionate advocates for all things related to the Second Amendment," said Tony McKnight, co-owner of Big Daddy Unlimited. "The recent legal development does not deter our mission to sell any and all products that are Constitutionally protected. The judicial decision means Big Daddy Unlimited is temporarily sidelined from selling the Wide Open Trigger until our case is heard in a court of law.”

Big Daddy Unlimited has instructed its legal team to appeal the temporary cease and desist and aggressively defend this litigation.

McKnight continued, "As we've stated numerous times, our intent is to sell every Constitutionally-protected 2A product. We will continue to promote and sell guns, gear, ammo, and accessories. As U.S. Army General and Medal of Honor recipient Douglas MacArthur said, ‘Americans never quit.’ And neither will Big Daddy Unlimited," McKnight added.

What this means for Big Daddy Unlimited and Wide Open Trigger distributors:

• At this time, Big Daddy Unlimited has stopped marketing, selling, offering to sell, importing, or transferring possession of any Wide Open Trigger–or substantially similar device.
• All distributors must comply and should sequester their inventory of Wide Open Triggers.
• The temporary cease and desist applies to Big Daddy Unlimited, Wide Open Enterprises, LLC, and all of their officers, agents, servants, employees, and attorneys–and others in active concert or participation with any of them–who receive actual notice of this preliminary injunction by personal service or otherwise.
