Michigan Archaeology Day is This Saturday

Have you ever thought about what it's like to be an archaeologist? Find out this Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Michigan History Museum in Lansing! It's your chance to talk to archaeologists about investigations and artifacts that tell the story of 14,000 years of Michigan history.

Archaeologists who work in Michigan will be stationed throughout the museum's first and second floors where they will tell you about their research, show you some of the artifacts they have found and answer your questions. There are also activities for kids of all ages, two in depth presentations about exciting archaeology projects and an opportunity to learn more about an artifact you have found! The full schedule of events is below.

Admission to this family-friendly event is free.
