Leupold Pro Team Member Dean Stott to Host Netflix’s ‘Toughest Forces on Earth’

Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce that Leupold Pro Team member Dean Stott will be one of the hosts of Netflix’s new series, ‘Toughest Forces on Earth,” which debuted on the digital platform on Wednesday, May 22.

Stott, a former British Special Forces member, author, and motivational speaker, will be joined by a former U.S. Army Ranger and former U.S. Navy Seal in traveling the world on a mission to go deep inside the most elite and secretive military units on the planet.

“Dean embodies the core values that Leupold is built upon,” said Tim Lesser, Vice President of Product Development & Marketing at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “He brings unquestioned drive and passion to everything he does and has incredible experience. He’s been an excellent partner, and we know he’ll help make ‘Toughest Forces on Earth’ well worth the watch.”

Known by many simply as “The Frogman,” Stott served in Britain’s Special Boat Service (SBS). After his military career was ended by a parachuting accident in 2011, he transitioned to the private security sector. He has gone on to become a world-leading security consultant. From corporate assignments to ultra-high net worth individuals, he has delivered security solutions at all levels, for clients including governments, presidents, and royal families. In that role, he has successfully dealt with extortion, kidnapping, civil war, pirates, and military coups. In 2014, he single-handedly evacuated the Canadian Embassy in Libya, rescuing four diplomats and 18 military personnel. More recently, he assisted hundreds in safely departing Afghanistan during the military withdrawal and helped evacuate more than 200 people from Israel.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, getting to witness and train alongside some of the world’s elite forces during the making of the show,” Stott said. “I was greatly pleased to see various Leupold products at play all over the world supporting these elite, high-level units.”

Stott has also become a global adventurer and record-breaking cyclist, having cycled the entire 14,000-mile length of the Pan-American Highway 99 days, 12 hours, and 56 minutes–good enough to smash the previous record by 17 days.
