Recent LA Creel landing estimates indicate that 49,315 pounds of the 816,439-pound quota are available for harvest to our anglers, not including landings from the weekend of October 4-6, where landings are as yet not available. However, early indicators of effort (electronic reporting of red snapper trips, numbers of dockside interviews of anglers in LA Creel surveys, offshore wave height, etc.) all indicate another weekend of landings low enough to allow this extension.
