European Style Elk and Red Stag Mount Kits Are Ready! Cloverdale, CA- After 12 months of development, Mountain Mike's Reproductions Company has brought the reproduction Elk and Red Stag skull antler mounting kits to market. These new kits are in full production now, as all of the freeform molds have passed final testing. MMR combined the latest digitizing technology with new mold making techniques to reproduce a real skull from scanned data. Successfully reproducing real skulls from injection molds allows them to offer alternatives to traditional European or plaque mounts.
Mike Bartholdy, president and owner of Mountain Mike's said "This was a huge endeavor. Being 4Xs the size of our first ground-breaking deer molds, these proved to be even more challenging than expected. Three quarters of the way through the scanning process, we crashed our digitizing computer. After the purchase of a new custom built super computer we completed the 10,000 file scan. We are very excited to finally be in production of these highly anticipated kits. They come in both popular designs, the "Skull Master" and "Record Keeper". Like the deer kits, the new Elk and Red Stag Skull Masters will come in beautiful dipped colors as well. These Red Stag compatible kits will be our first move into the world market.
