Public Rainbow Trout Stocking At Antrim Lake

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife, in conjunction with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, will be stocking about 1,000 adult, excess brown and rainbow trout in Antrim Lake on November 23rd. The fish will range between one and five pounds.

Fish are expected to arrive at the lake late Wednesday morning. Fisheries biologists and technicians will put the fish into the lake using nets and tubes.

According to Rich Carter, Fish Management Supervisor for the central Ohio district of the Division of Wildlife," This is a great chance for youth and adults to experience the thrill of catching a big trout. Many families enjoy fishing this event to kick off their holiday".

Fishing is open to the public, and the daily bag limit is five trout per angler. Anglers 16 years of age and older must have an Ohio fishing license. The annual resident license costs $19.00. A one-day fishing license costs $11.00.
