The Doppler Radar is a technical performance test that maps the flight path of a bullet at every stage from the time the bullet leaves the muzzle to target impact, documenting the stability of the projectile throughout the entire flight. It provides velocity data by bouncing a microwave signal off the bullet that analyzes how the motion of the bullet alters the frequency of the return signal. This variant provides direct and extremely precise measurements of the radial component of the bullet's velocity relative to the radar. AMI's engineers are establishing performance requirements for future products, which will be built around these stringent specifications, utilizing the gained knowledge from the Doppler Radar.
