Kalispell, Montana  – Counter Assault, a leading manufacturer of Bear Deterrent, Law Enforcement and Personal Defense pepper spray products is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Fort as Senior Director of Sales and Global Business Development.

Fort comes from a distinguished 23 year background in sales and merchandise management with Wal-Mart and Cabela’s.  Fort directed merchandising, retail operations, asset protection and District Loss Prevention at Wal-Mart before joining Cabela’s where he has been for the past 10 years. Fort worked in the corporate offices of Cabela’s as a Retail Product Manager and managed the hunting, shooting accessories and outdoor cooking. Prior to leaving Cabela’s he worked as Assistant Category Manager in footwear.

In addition to his career in sporting goods sales and retail merchandising Fort served 12 ½ years in the United States Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer and retired as a First Lieutenant.

Fort assumes the responsibility for directing all sales representatives and coordination of sales to national accounts as well as independent dealers.  Fort will represent Counter Assault at Trade Shows and at consumer functions promoting the Counter Assault range of products.
