Eva Shockey to be Featured Speaker at SCI's "Protect Your Freedom to Hunt" Luncheon

To Eva Shockey, nothing beats spending time with loved ones in the great outdoors. Whether scaling rugged mountains 8,000+ feet above sea level, camping out under a blanket of stars in subzero temperatures or trekking through the wildlands of the Yukon territory, Eva continues to make a mark in the hunting world through choosing to live an unconventional life of adventure.

As the daughter of Professional Hunter and outdoor television producer Jim Shockey, Eva has been part of the outdoor industry since birth. And though her childhood dreams revolved around competitive dance, when she was 21 she traded her tutu for camo and has never looked back.

Today, Eva combines her passion for hunting and conservation in her expeditions across the globe as a Professional Hunter and co-host of Outdoor Channel's "Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventures." She's also proud to represent companies, including Under Armour, Cabela's, Daniel Defense, Bowtech, MTN OPS, Walker's and Muzzy Broadheads.

In 2014, Eva became the second woman to ever grace the cover of Field & Stream, almost forty years after Queen Elizabeth was featured in 1976. Among others, Eva has appeared on ABC's Nightline and the Fox Business Network as the "new face of hunting." In 2015, she was featured alongside country music sensation Miranda Lambert in the award-winning Ram Trucks commercial, "Courage is Already Inside." In the August 2016 issue of Field & Stream, Eva was voted "Most Admired Prominent Outdoorswoman." Eva's new book, "Taking Aim," is a memoir of adventure, skill, healthy living and finding one's true life calling. In the book, Eva describes many aspects of hunting that fuel her passion for the sport.

Wife to former professional hockey player Tim Brent  and mother to daughter Leni Bow, Eva continues to pursue her passion for hunting while balancing a family and a healthy lifestyle of organic eating and fitness.
