Glenn Eller and Ashley Carroll won silver yesterday in the Trap Mixed Team event at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
Fresh off the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Acapulco, Mexico where the USA Shooting Team won three medals, shotgun athletes have now made their way to the United Arab Emirates for the second stop on the World Cup circuit in Al Ain where competition is underway and continues through April 15.
Forty-five American Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun athletes are making their way to Mexico to compete in the 12th Championship of the Americas (CAT) November 2 – 10 at the Club Cinegetico Jalisciense in Guadalajara. Competition starts Saturday and concludes on November 10 with medals and Olympic and Pan American Games quotas on the line for shooting athletes from North and South America.
Just over a week after the conclusion of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Fort Benning, Georgia, the USA Shooting Team has headed across the Pond to Munich, Germany for the next ISSF World Cup for Rifle and Pistol beginning Thursday.
Vincent Hancock and Kim Rhode, Olympic champions and Team Beretta shooters, recently won gold at Stage 2 of the 2018 ISSF World Cup Series. With last weekend’s stellar performances, Hancock and Rhode have now won nine and twelve World Cup gold medals, respectively.
After taking the 2017 season off, two-time Olympic gold medalist Vince Hancock picked up his second gold medal in as many World Cups this season when he won the Men’s Skeet competition on the final day of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Changwon, South Korea.
The journey to the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan starts next week for 10 USA Shooting athletes when they compete at the World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS) Championships May 1-12 in Cheongju, South Korea.
