Registration is now open for the 2026 National R3 Symposium, the nation's foremost gathering focused on Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) of hunters and recreational shooters.
The symposium will take place May 4-7, 2026, at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown in Des Moines, Iowa. Each year, the National R3 Symposium brings together professionals from state and federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, industry partners, and academia to collaborate on proven strategies and hear about emerging solutions that help secure the future of hunting, shooting sports, and wildlife conservation.
"The National R3 Symposium provides a unique opportunity to share strategies, build partnerships, and ensure we continue making a meaningful impact in growing and sustaining our rich hunting and shooting sports heritage," said Executive Director Chuck Sykes.
The 2026 agenda will again feature R3minutes, a dynamic, fast-paced session highlighting innovative projects, measurable outcomes, and practical lessons learned from R3 efforts across the country. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in R3 Training: How to Measure What's Working and What's Not, a complimentary, in-depth training designed for both new and experienced practitioners. This limited-capacity session focuses on building evaluation skills and improving the effectiveness of R3 programs through data-informed decision-making.
