Real Avid, the leader in DIY for Guns®, announces the official launch of the Range Ready™ resource portal. The Range Ready portal is a free informational resource center for all shooters — beginners, experienced shooters, hunters, competitors, and trainers — looking to maximize range productivity through equipment refinement, skill development, and building confidence in every shot taken.
Range Ready builds on five key principles that lead shooters to get the most out of their gear and their time spent on the range:
- Preparation – Remove uncertainty before you get to the bench.
- Precision – Attention to details earns revenue on the target.
- Control – Manage conditions that you can influence.
- Consistency – Establish stable and repeatable systems — the definition of accuracy potential.
- Confidence – Everything comes together to deliver first-shot/one-shot assurance.
The Range Ready system combines these foundational principles with Real Avid's tools and supplies ecosystem to prepare for meaningful and productive shooting, training, and practice sessions on the range. In short, the goal is to use your range time to confirm performance and elevate skills rather than chase problems that should previously have been solved.
The new Range Ready resource portal offers comprehensive guidance on equipment setup, maintenance, field systems, and their applications with expert advice and demonstration by world-champion shooter and trainer Doug Koenig. Here, you will learn the A-Z details that result in success on the range and in the field — and discover the essential tools and supplies supporting each of these systems.
In addition, the Range Ready resource portal offers a free downloadable field guide covering pre-range preparation, range session workflow, and post-range reset along with tips on how to prepare your own Range Ready systems. The guide also includes common range problems and how to fix them, plus a Quick Reference Guide.
There are other handy resources available for free download through the Range Ready portal as well, such as:
- Master Pre-Range Checklist
- Post-Range Reset
- Range Data
- Range Session Planning
- Target
"The range does not create performance. It reveals preparation."
