Archers from various teams across the state of Michigan met at the West Michigan Archery Center to compete in the first Indoor Target regional of the year. More than two-hundred people were on-site throughout the day for the event. Michigan S3DA State Coordinator, Cara Waite said, “It was a delight to get the 2024 Indoor season kicked off! We had a record number of youth archers participating in our first event of the season. It was a pleasure to see new friendships being formed and old friendships strengthened. A very special thanks to WMAC Soaring Falcons for hosting this tournament.”
Victor Konrad is a member of WMAC who shot a 150 at this event. When we asked him how the event went, he said, “I felt like I did a pretty good job. I was just happy to get to shoot and compete and I didn’t really focus on my score, which I think helped a lot.”
One of the judges, Amy Wilcox commented, “What a great start to the Indoor season. It was nice seeing so many participants and their families. I am so proud of the hard work all these young people have put in behind their bows. I look forward to seeing what great things they accomplish and what the rest of the season brings.”
